General Editors: Roberto Illiano – Massimiliano Sala

The series concerns everything that refers to the processes of production and reception of music, in particular on the mechanisms underlying the phenomena investigated or the methodological problems of research. The series will therefore focus on the places the accent not on particular contexts or periods of musical history, but on the musical phenomenon per se. Emphasis will be given to the sociology of music, the relationship between musical styles and social values, the cognitive psychology of music, the bodily dimension of music, the musical gesture, the applications of information technology to the performance and reception of music. This series will also explore arts management, business and music, audio technology, and music for applied media.
